What I’m wearing: Zara Blazer (similar here)/ Rose+Olive tee (similar here)/ Zara jeans (similar here)/ Steve Madden pumps/ Bag/ Ray-ban Sunnies/ ASOS necklace

Happy October, everyone! Things still haven’t quite cooled down yet here in Baltimore, but just like everyone else I couldn’t wait to pull a blazer out of my closet. This one is from Zara, and is the perfect mix of fitted yet oversized. The current boxy, oversize blazer trend is one that I am a huge fan of! There is really no need to spend a ton of money on them either…lots of people are finding amazing vintage blazers at thrift and consignment shops, or even when raiding your man’s closet! I realized that this outfit features 3 out of 5 of my summer to fall transition staples that I wrote about in this post. Oversize blazer? Check! Not-so-basic t-shirt? Check! Straight leg denim? Check! I’m doing a great job of following my own style rules, so congratulations to me!

Since this blazer is patterned, I opted to keep the rest of the look nice and simple. This ribbed tee is a TJ Maxx find, and it gives an injection of texture into the overall look. An easy way to dress up a blazer and denim combination is by adding a classic pump. This pair is from Steve Madden and they are the best! They give all of the Chanel vibes, but they are affordable and comfortable. I wore them all the time when I was teaching and on my feet all day. They’re a great investment as they can be styled in so many different ways. As I mentioned in this post, I’m living in denim nowadays, but I’m really going to try to style some pants and skirts soon, so please hold me to that, okay?

I’ve got to say that this fashion blogger life ain’t always easy! I think to myself, let’s just take an hour to take some photos…no big deal, right? But there’s so much that goes into that hour. On the day we took these pics, we went around 2 pm, so the sun was blazing. The location that I wanted to shoot in didn’t have a lot of shade, so it was hard to find good lighting. Much of the time spent was finding the right light! This is why overcast days are my favorite to take pictures. However, learning is part of the process, and I’m loving every minute of it…even the frustrating ones.

Does it feel like fall wherever you are? What wardrobe items do you currently have on repeat?

    XOXO, Persia
